Formed in 2006, the band immediately set about writing and recording
their first album in their own studio.
Early 2008 saw the completion and release via the Internet of "Life,
The Universe and Other Tall Stories". A twelve track introduction to Beavis Maplin's Power Pop/Hard Rock vibe thing!

Drawing immediate success and exposure thanks to Christian
O'Connell's 2006 World Cup Anthem competition - ultimately coming 4th with "Back of the Net", the band enjoyed
more popularity than they could have ever imagined, with live interviews and airplay on Virgin Radio

2009: Sees the band halfway through album number two tentatively titled "THE BIG WOW". But as with all working
titles - this is subject to change! (Updates on "Ze Big Wow in the making!" page.)
So far fifteen songs have been demoed including; 'Shambollica', 'All Hands on Deck', 'Dude the Obscure'
and 'Peer Pressure Sucks You In' - which you can hear on the players below.
"The BIG WOW" is expected
to be finished in time for January 2010, which will coincide with Beavis Maplin's first live shows - more about which
later!
